Cream Cheese Frosting
This goes best with my Chocolate Cake and Gingerbread Cake! Scroll all the way down for chocolate frosting and naturally-sweetened frosting.
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
2 tbsp salted butter, room temperature
1 ½ cups powdered sugar**
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Directions
Into a stand mixer or bowl, beat the room temperature cream cheese and butter till fully combined.
Gently stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla before whipping. Whip till the mixture is fluffy.
Put it to use immediately, or keep covered in the fridge. When ready to use, let it come to room temperature before whipping it again.

CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
Add ⅓ cup of chocolate powder to the recipe
NATURALLY SWEETENED
Ingredients
20 medjool dates, soaked in hot water for 15 minutes
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
2 tbsp salted butter, room temperature
½ cup water
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Directions
Pit the dates and place them into a food processor. Add the water and vanilla extract, and blend till it is a fine paste
Add in the cream cheese and butter, and blend till fluffy.
Put it to use immediately, or keep covered in the fridge. When ready to use, let it come to room temperature before whipping it again.
