Cornbread

You simply must try this cornbread recipe! My family can't get enough of it and I know your loved ones will feel the same way.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal

  • ⅓ cup sugar (adjust to your preference)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tbsp baking soda

  • 1 “egg”

    • 1 tbsp ground chia seeds mixed with 3 tbsp water

  • 1 cup milk

  • ⅓ cup flavorless oil

  • 1 15oz can of whole corn kernels

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 F.

  2. Grease an 8in x 8in pan, and coat with flour.

  3. Drain your corn kernels well, toss and coat with flour, and set aside.

  4. Combine your flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.

  5. Add in your “egg,” milk, and oil. Combine well. Stir in your set-aside corn kernels.

  6. Pour batter into the baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test

  7. Serve warm with fresh butter.
